About this file
This document is a Statement of Need for Palo Alto DREN Firewall Maintenance issued by the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). The requirement is to extend Palo Alto warranty coverage for the Division's DREN Firewall, with a performance period from January 24, 2026 to January 23, 2027. Deliverables will be shipped to NRL in Monterey, CA, and must be received in full working order for acceptance.
The associated federal contract opportunity is a full and open competitive Request for Quotations (RFQ) for commercial items, using NAICS code 541519 with a small business size standard of $34 million. The procurement seeks new Palo Alto firewall equipment, requiring vendors to be Original Equipment Manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors, or resellers who can provide OEM warranty and service. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Navy's Office of Naval Research, with a firm-fixed-price contract structure and a focus on brand-name or equal equipment meeting specific manufacturer warranty and service conditions.
