1. Can an eligible applicant organization submit more than one application to this opportunity?
- Yes, eligible applicants may submit multiple proposals, but the projects in each proposal must be distinct from one another. Please note that if multiple applications are submitted from the same organization for the same project, we will only review the last application received by the deadline.
2. Can resumes, work plans, and letters of commitment be single-spaced and with margins less than 1-inch?
- Per page 17 of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), documents included in the appendices such as resumes/CVs, organizational charts, tables, or letters of commitment may use formatting common to those documents, but the pages must be easy to read.
3. On page 17, section F.2.a., the instructions state that tables may use smaller font and be single spaced. Is this true of graphics as well?
- Graphics included in the project narrative may use smaller font and be single spaced;
however, they must be easy to read.
4. On page 17, section F.2.a., the instructions state that the Table of Contents is created by the grants.gov system. Does this page count as one of the 30 pages allowed for the project narrative section?
- A table of contents is not created by the grants management system. Page 17 of the NOFO states not to include page numbers or a table of contents, as the grants management system will generate page numbers once your application is complete. Please note that if your application exceeds the specified page limits for the Project Narrative or Project Narrative plus Appendices when printed on 8.5” X 11” paper, we will not review it. We recommend you print out your application before submitting electronically to ensure that it is within the page limits and is easy to read.
5. Do we need to submit a budget for each year of the project?
- You only need to submit a budget for year one of the project. Please note that the work plan must cover all four years of the proposed project.
6. Do you consider researchers experience of a non-university setting as sufficient criteria for research expertise?
- Researchers are not expected to have experience in a university setting in order to be considered experts.
