About this file
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for market research conducted by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center (76 PMXG) to identify potential contractors capable of producing Ultrasonic Transducers. The government seeks sources with production data, repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for these components, which must comply with GE and CFM International (CFMI) standards. The requirement specifies three Harisonic I31006-T, UTX IX-139, TLC IS1010GA transducers and three Harisonic I70512T, UTX IX-141, TLC IX0519GB transducers, or approved equal items with CFMI documentation. Written responses must be received by close of business on 27 May 2026 and submitted to Tori Wallace at tori.wallace@us.af.mil.
Interested contractors must complete a Contractor Capability Survey addressing general capabilities, past experience on similar projects, quality assurance processes and certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100), current production capacity with reserves for surge capability, facility and equipment listings, proposed manufacturing processes, commerciality of the product or service, established pricing, warranty terms, and any requirements that would preclude their product from being viable. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements. Contractors should identify areas suitable for Small Business set-asides and provide documentation supporting their capabilities, including how they would overcome any experience gaps through subcontracting or teaming. The government notes that participation in this market research does not guarantee participation in future solicitations or contract awards, and will not reimburse participants for survey-related expenses. The level of required security clearance and foreign participation has not yet been determined.
