About this file

This document is an Addendum 1 containing Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to Request for Quote (RFQ) #P23-1558 issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). The RFQ is for the procurement of wheat millfeed, which is an essential component in the larval rearing diet of the Mediterranean Fruit Fly. The addendum addresses various questions about the required testing, delivery, and quantities of the wheat millfeed. It specifies that one pound of the product will need to be delivered to the CDFA's Center for Analytical Chemistry in Sacramento for pesticide testing, and that every order will require testing before shipping to Hawaii, as there is no testing facility in that state. The minimum expected quantity per order is 168 bags per week, subject to production needs, and a forklift will be available on-site for offloading. The preferred type of wheat millfeed is wheat midds.

The RFQ is for the State of California, and the wheat millfeed will be used to feed Mediterranean Fruit Flies. No other pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or sources are provided in the addendum.
