About this file

This is a Wage Determination document issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration (Wage and Hour Division) for federal service contracts in Illinois counties of Cook, Du Page, and McHenry. The determination (No. 2015-5017, Revision 31, effective December 3, 2025) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits required for service contract employees across numerous occupational classifications.

The document lists wage rates organized by occupational code and title across ten major categories: Administrative Support and Clerical Occupations (rates ranging from $17.84 to $37.66); Automotive Service Occupations ($17.81 to $28.05); Food Preparation and Service Occupations ($14.00 to $20.63); Furniture Maintenance and Repair Occupations ($14.96 to $22.47); General Services and Support Occupations ($16.94 to $27.00); Health Occupations ($15.96 to $53.98); Information and Arts Occupations ($15.08 to $41.34); Information Technology Occupations ($23.06 to $35.82); Instructional Occupations ($22.20 to $49.45); and additional categories including Machine Tool Operation, Materials Handling, Mechanics and Maintenance, Personal Needs, Plant and System Operations, Protective Services, Recreation, Stevedoring, Technical, and Transportation/Mobile Equipment Operations. All listed occupations require fringe benefits including health and welfare coverage ($5.55 per hour standard, or $5.09 under Executive Order 13706), vacation accrual (2-4 weeks depending on tenure), and twelve paid holidays annually. Special provisions apply to computer professionals exempt from prevailing wage requirements, air traffic controllers and weather observers entitled to night and Sunday pay differentials, hazardous material workers receiving differential pay (4-8 percent), and employees required to wear uniforms. Contractors must follow the Service Contract Act Directory of Occupations for job classification and submit SF-1444 forms for any unlisted classifications requiring wage conformance determinations.
