About this file
This document is a Limited Source/Brand Name Justification for a simplified acquisition under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Arizona has a requirement for five (5) new Topcon HiPer VR Base and Rover Kits. The justification details the specific components needed, including Topcon HiPer VR receivers, FC-6000 Tablets, MAGNET Field Software, and related accessories. The justification states that Topcon is the only brand that meets the agency's minimum requirements, and therefore competition will be limited to that brand. The required items will be delivered and installed at four NRCS service centers in Arizona, with on-site training and continued technical support provided. The Topcon equipment will have hardware warranties between one and two years, and the software will include one year of maintenance.
