About this file
This document contains a sole source justification for a federal contract opportunity. The Department of Veterans Affairs requires a mobile 1.5T MRI scanner for a period of 3-6 months to be located at its West Roxbury campus while its existing scanner undergoes construction and upgrades. The justification cites FAR 13.5 and requests a sole source award to the incumbent contractor who provides the agency's current MRI scanner, citing needs for staff familiarity and minimal disruption. Market research identified several potential sources but no existing GSA contract. The related pre-solicitation notice describes plans to solicit the requirement as a SDVOSB set-aside, with responses due around October 25, 2021 and applicable NAICS code 621512.
