About this file

This document is a Single Source Justification form for a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) acquisition. The San Francisco VA Health Care System requires an Avery Weigh-Tronix Eyecon 9430 Pill Counting Machine and accessories for its pharmacy, with a focus on accurately dispensing and tracking controlled substances. The machine is specifically needed to interface with the existing ScriptPro and Vista systems during the installation of a ScriptPro SP 200 Robotic Medication Dispensing System. The justification for single-source procurement is based on the equipment's unique compatibility with current pharmacy systems, with ScriptPro confirming they are the sole manufacturer, installer, and support provider for their proprietary equipment. The acquisition is planned for November 15, 2024, with an estimated value under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $250,000.
