2. Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount:
Volpara Patient Hub Software application is an upgrade to the currently utilized Mammography Reporting System (MRS). This application upgrade maintains compatibility with current VA operating systems and applications. The software is used to track and report breast imaging procedures and patient outcomes. This software is critical to maintaining the FDA accreditation of the facility’s mammography program.
Base Year 10/01/2023 – 09/30/2024 Option 1 10/01/2024 – 09/30/2025 Option 2 10/01/2025 – 09/30/2026 Option 3 10/01/2026 – 09/30/2027 Option 4 10/01/2027 – 09/30/2028
3. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used:
Volpara is the proprietary owner of Patient Hub and MRS software applications. The Patient Hub software apllication/subscription is and updgrade to MRS. There is no other contractor authorized to develop, customize, support, sell, or train the MRS and Patient Hub applications.
4. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted:
Open market research was not conducted due to the specific update required for the existing system as Volpara is the proprietary developer and seller of MRS and the Patient Hub replacement application.
5. Contracting Officer's Certification: Purchase is approved in accordance with FAR13.106-1(b). I certify that the foregoing justification is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief.
