About this file

This document is a Justification for Limiting Sources (LSJ) for a Department of Veterans Affairs contract. The Nuclear Medicine Service at VA Western New York Healthcare System is seeking a 1-year Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for 9 units of Pluvicto (Lutetium Lu 177 Vipivotide Tetraxetan), a radiopharmaceutical therapy for treating metastatic prostate cancer. The contract will be placed against Federal Supply Schedule Contract Number 36F79720D0180 with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, the sole FDA-approved source of this specialized treatment. The contract period is from 11/01/2025 to 10/31/2026, with an estimated value of $299,062.26. The justification for sole-source procurement is based on Novartis being the only manufacturer of this specific radiopharmaceutical for treating prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
