About this file
This justification document outlines a single source award for BioCartis Idylla assay kits and reagents. The Department of Veterans Affairs at the Asheville VA Medical Center requires the annual purchase of BioCartis Idylla assay kits for $98,200. The kits are proprietary products of BioCartis US Inc. and are the only cartridges that will function with the BioCartis Idylla analyzer currently used by the pathology and laboratory department to conduct molecular testing of tumor samples to determine appropriate treatment options. Market research found no other authorized reseller for the BioCartis products other than Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions. Therefore, this requirement will be pursued as an open market, brand name only acquisition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
