About this file
This document is a justification for other than full and open competition. The Madison VA Hospital is requesting 26 Hillrom Centrella P7900 Smart+Bed systems from the two authorized Hillrom distributors, DiSorb Systems, Inc. and The Janz Corporation. Standardizing beds across medical floors 3B and 7B on these Hillrom models already in use throughout the hospital will improve patient care, comfort, and safety as well as lower service costs by maintaining parts commonality. Market research found these two small business distributors as the only authorized providers of the required Hillrom beds to the VA. The anticipated fair and reasonable price will be determined by comparing offers to historical FPDS-NG data. The related solicitation is for these Centrella Smart+Bed systems from the Madison VA Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
