About this file

This is a Sole Source Justification document under FAR 13.5 for medical and general waste collection/removal services at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and affiliated CBOCs. The document justifies a six-month sole source award to NEIE Medical Waste Services, LLC, an SDVOSB contractor, for the period of January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025, with an estimated value of $307,619.48.

The justification is based on VAAR 819.7008 authority for SDVOSB sole source awards under $5 million. A previous RFQ (36C25225Q0129) was posted on December 5, 2024, but will not result in an award due to cardinal changes in requirements including new items added and changed frequencies. The incumbent contractor NEIE Medical Waste Services has provided satisfactory services according to COR reports and CPARS, maintains SDVOSB certification, and has no exclusions in SAM.gov. A new five-year IDC contract will be solicited at the conclusion of this six-month contract period.
