About this file
This document is a Request for Sole Source Justification for a construction services contract at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is seeking a single award, firm-fixed-price contract to upgrade electrical metering and replace 70-year-old condensate lines and pumps. The project involves replacing 29 PM800 meters, 10 CM4000 meters, upgrading protection and monitoring components, and modernizing the automatic transfer system. The contract will be sole-sourced to Venergy Group, a verified service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), based on their extensive experience in mechanical projects, energy-efficient unit installations, and advanced utility metering. The anticipated award price does not exceed $5 million, and the contracting officer determined Venergy Group can provide fair and reasonable pricing based on their previous VA contract performance.
