About this file
This document is a Justification for Single Source Award under FAR 13.106-1 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS). The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a requirement for one (1) Omnicell XT MED 1-Cell Cabinet with four (4) Open Configurable Drawers and five (5) Metal Locking Drawers. The Omnicell brand is already interfaced with the VA's network in Pharmacy and CBOC locations. The XT auxiliary cabinet will increase the bin capacity in the operating room, enhancing the functionality of the current cart-less model, which is especially important for the TAVR Suite. The VA justifies the single-source procurement as the Omnicell XT system is efficient, effective, and purpose-built to meet the specific requirements, with no other medication dispensing system offering the same cabinet choices and expandability.
The related federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number 36C24424Q0543, is for the procurement of the same Omnicell XT MED 1-Cell Cabinet with the specified drawers. The solicitation is unrestricted, with the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 4 as the contracting agency.
