About this file
This document is a justification for a brand name only award for Stryker drills and equipment for the VA Northern California Health Care System. The VA requires replacements and additions for its Consolidated Operating Room Equipment console and accompanying surgical tools and accessories used in orthopedic surgeries at its Martinez facility. Stryker offers the only compatible surgical power tools and is the sole manufacturer of the consolidated operating room equipment technology currently used, which is end of life and must be replaced for safe medical equipment use. As the existing Stryker surgical tools and OR equipment would need to remain interconnected, only Stryker brand name products can be purchased to maintain compatibility. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 36C26123Q1066 for these Stryker drills and equipment from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration VISN 21.
