This is a brand name product description.
Due to the specific use requirements at SNOTEL Supersites within the Montana Data Collection Office (MTDCO), 40 component multi conductor wires are required for installation at SNOTEL sites within the MTDCO. After market research, and field testing, the listed cable is the only cable on the market which meets the need for a multi‐strand conductor wire with enough stands (40), sufficient cable gauge (18AWG), and is functional in an acceptable temperature range (below ‐20 degrees Celsius).
As such, the only acceptable cable that is acceptable for this procurement is the following:
