INTRODUCTION:

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b)(2), this Sources Sought Notice is for market research and information purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs

(VA).

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project is to replace existing water pipeage that has failed and is deteriorating further. The project, at minimum, will consist of utilizing two (2) of the city water tie-ins and running piping with shut-off valves in a proper valve box (sized appropriately to support current and future expansion of the VAMC) to a central location specified by the Phoenix VAMC where a small structure shall be built to house the VA Required Warter Treatment Equipment for Domestic Water with proper ventilation and temperature control in order to maintain the equipment. After the treatment, pipes shall be installed with shutoff valves to the buildings throughout the campus within housings and to tie-in to all VAMC structures (approximately 6-8 tie-ins). Shutoff valves shall be placed at locations to be determined and would be utilized in an emergency.

The scope includes providing all professional architectural and engineering (A/E) services necessary to develop complete drawings, specifications, cost estimates, project phasing site visits and construction period services associated with various plumbing throughout the campus grounds of the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center. Conduct preliminary project scope meetings and site survey investigations to develop the necessary elements for conceptual layout schemes with proposed alternatives consistent with the VA’s project team goals as prioritized during preliminary project meetings, field surveys and studies. The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. The contractor shall also provide all material, labor, equipment, project phasing, site visits, and supervision necessary to complete the construction of the project.
