THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT.
This Request for Information is intended for information and planning purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Because this is a Request for Information announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists. Therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), Commodities 1 is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing the BRAND NAME OR EQUAL equipment listed below.
Delivery Location:
These items will be delivered to Butler VA Health Care System in Butler, PA.
Background:
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Butler VA Health Care System, Sterile Processing Service (SPS) requires one (1) drying cabinet for drying Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) and accessories prior to steam sterilization.
General Requirement:

STERIS AMSCO Drying Cabinet (Model # DCR200101) – Quantity 1
Salient Characteristics:
· Must have HEPA air filtration system that prevents airborne contaminants from being blown into the chamber, protecting clean RMD and accessories.
· Drying cabinet must be no larger than 38"W x 29.3"D x 96"H in order to fit the current space available.
· Precise temperature control settings up to 136°F.
· Stand-alone configuration.
· Welded stainless-steel construction with tempered glass windows in hinged doors.
· Fully adjustable shelves capable of holding up to 25lb.
· Provides HEPA filtered cabinet air.
· Digital controls with timed or constant drying options.
· See-through doors.
· Internal LED lighting.
· Provide clear and intuitive operation for tracking drying time for each shelf.
· 120V, 60Hz, 20 Amp standard duplex receptacle.
The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the Government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications mentioned above.

This Request for Information will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 – Market Research. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing via e-mail to the Contracting Point of Contact listed below by the date listed below. This notice will help the VA in determining available potential sources only. Do not contact VA Medical Center staff regarding this requirement, as they are not authorized to discuss this matter related to this procurement action. All questions will be addressed by the Contracting POC listed below.
