About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) document issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin for a Brand Name or Equal (BNE) Structured Solutions, Inc. (SSI) Tools Bundled Package. The RFI seeks information on alternative solutions that meet or exceed the salient characteristics of the original SSI Tools offering, establishing a baseline for competitive "or equal" submissions in advance of the formal solicitation. The document is designed to identify qualified vendors and gather technical information to support the development of solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria for this pre-solicitation opportunity.

The RFI outlines specific salient characteristics that prospective vendors' solutions must satisfy to be considered equivalent to the brand name SSI Tools product. This pre-solicitation phase allows the government to assess market availability of comparable products and services, determine pricing competitiveness, and refine acquisition strategy before issuing the formal Request for Proposals. Vendors responding to this RFI should provide detailed technical specifications, functionality comparisons, and pricing information demonstrating how their solutions meet or exceed the identified salient characteristics. The government will use responses to inform the scope, terms, and conditions of the subsequent formal solicitation.
