Special Notice - Sole Source Intent
This is a Special Notice documenting the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Great Lakes Acquisition Center's intent to award a sole source contract to Minburn Technology Group LLC for medical equipment maintenance and repair services. The contract covers annual preventive maintenance and repair services for all Howard Medical E-Carts and the Howard Medical Care Protection Gold Package at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois. The VA has determined that Minburn Technology Group LLC is the only source of supply for these services because the Howard Medical Carts are proprietary equipment exclusively supported by this vendor.
The solicitation number is 36C25226Q0372, with responses due by 9:00 AM Central Time on April 7, 2026. The procurement is conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (41 U.S.C. 1901 and FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i)) and will be classified under NAICS code 541519. Interested firms may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements by the deadline via email only in MS Word or PDF format to Contracting Officer Dustin Biermann at Dustin.Biermann@va.gov. The government retains discretion to compete the procurement based on responses received, though if no responses are submitted, the contracting officer will proceed with sole source negotiations with Minburn Technology Group LLC. The contracting office is located at 115 South 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214-1476.
