About this file

The provided document is an insurance requirements exhibit (OS-52) for a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The awarded contractor for this contract must purchase and maintain various types of insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, comprehensive general liability, property damage, and automobile liability insurance. The minimum coverage amounts are $250,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence for both bodily injury and property damage. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the Department of Transportation must be named as an additional insured party on these policies, and the contractor must provide the Department with current certificates of insurance showing the required coverage and notice provisions. No work can be performed or entry onto Department property can occur during any period when the required insurance coverage is not maintained by the contractor.

The document outlines the specific insurance requirements and provides the legal and contractual terms related to the contractor's obligation to obtain and maintain the necessary insurance coverage throughout the term of the contract, including any renewals or extensions. It serves as an exhibit to the overall contract and aims to ensure the Commonwealth's interests are protected in the event of claims or losses related to the contractor's work.
