Code S245
(3) LAR No. LV23001 (SRF# REPAIR/LARCV/343), Replacement Part on Engine Gauge Panel
Background:
1. Reference (a) requested SRF-JRMC Det Sasebo Design Branch Code S245 for the replacement material information for the discontinued engine gauge panel, P/N RE521033 (John Deere P/N 32-35-0001) which is listed as Find No. 12 in reference (b), installed on LARC 936.
2. Design Branch Code S245 sent a LAR to NAVFAC EXWC to request the replacement material information for the discontinued RE521033.
3. Per information from John Deere’s Japanese distributor, RE521033 has been replaced by RE555597.
RE555597 has been discontinued as an instrument panel assembly, but each component of RE555597 listed in Attachment (1) is available to order.
4. Design Branch Code S245 sent the information that RE555597 can be used as replacement of RE521033 to NAVFAC EXWC as additional information of LAR. NAVFAC EXWC responded that RE555597 is not a direct replacement for the existing RE521033 and will require craft modification to outfit the new parts. See Attachment (2) for details.
5. NAVFAC EXWC revised references (b) and (c) via Attachment (3) to install RE555597 based on the correspondence of Attachment (2). Revised drawings are references (d) and (e) and have been uploaded to EDCTM.
Designer's Comments:
1. Procure each component part of RE555597 per Attachments (1) and (3), and install per references (d) and (e).
Refer to Attachment (1) for individual components of RE555597, such as oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature gauge, voltmeter, percent load gauge, tachometer, and audible alarm.
