Notice Summary This notice is to inform potential proposers that ODOT will be posting to OregonBuys a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Corvallis to Albany Shared Use Path (NE Merloy Ave to NW Rainwater Ln):

This opportunity will be open to all potential proposers.

Project Information:

Planning and design activities for a shared use path to improve walking and biking between Corvallis, Albany, and the surrounding area near Highway U.S. 20 in Benton County (the “Project”). This Project complements other planning, design, and construction projects in the corridor that have supported safer and more comfortable connections between these communities. The surrounding Benton County area is shown in Figure 1 (“Project Area”).

The Project consists of two path segments along the U.S. 20 highway corridor between NE Merloy Avenue (mile post 3.95) and NW Rainwater Lane (mile post 9.10):

· Merloy Avenue to Independence Highway- the Project is anticipated to link existing and soon to be constructed path segments on the east side of highway between Conifer Boulevard and Merloy Avenue with a recently completed path segment on the south side of Independence Highway intersection.

· Independence Highway to Rainwater Lane- the Project should determine an alignment through this corridor area that satisfies Project objectives. Alignment is expected to require an at-grade (shorter-term) and/or grade-separated (longer-term) crossing of U.S. 20.
