About this file
This is an options pricing schedule for grounds maintenance services for East Parks, Playgrounds, and Other City Owned Properties in Florida, submitted by bidders as part of a competitive procurement process. The document establishes unit pricing for optional maintenance tasks that may be requested by the Parks and Recreation Department beyond the base contract scope. These optional services encompass a comprehensive range of landscape and grounds maintenance activities, including mowing and turf cleanup, landscape bed maintenance, mulch application, herbicide treatment, tree pruning, fertilization (both granular and liquid), sodding in multiple grass varieties, plant replacement, debris removal, special litter pickup, and miscellaneous exceptional maintenance tasks requiring crew labor and equipment.
The options pricing structure allows the City to request additional maintenance services on an as-needed basis using the unit rates submitted by the selected bidder. Bidders must provide specific pricing for each optional task category, with pricing mechanisms including per-unit measurements such as per acre, square foot, linear foot, tree, ton, cycle, and hourly rates. The document specifies that pricing for mulch should include both material costs and application markup percentages, plant replacement should include material costs plus labor hours at specified rates, and special maintenance tasks are charged on an hourly basis per worker. This options page explicitly will not be part of the final award but serves as a reference tool for calculating costs of any additional work the City may authorize during the contract term.
