Logotype

The OPIC map

The oPIC Logo Our logo is a modern interpretation of our global impact and influence.

To reflect our commitment to the companies that help build communities overseas, we chose a typeface that has a friendly, human feel, but is also bold and sophisticated.

The map below the logotype represents the scale of OPIC’s reach and global impact.

Our logo is the immediate and ever-present representation of our brand. It is our most valued visual asset and is most effective when it is given prominence and abides by our guidelines.

Logo spacing To ensure that our logo does not become overshadowed by other elements, we have established minimum clear space requirements (shown right). The amount of clear space on all sides of our logo should be equal to or greater than the letter “O” in “OPIC” turned sideways.

Incorrect Uses Our logo upholds the voice of our brand and should always be displayed on its own. It should not be altered, placed next to other objects, or used in place of the word “OPIC.” Textures, gradients and patterns must never be featured within the logo. Any kind of distortion or skewing is not allowed. Additionally, the logo elements cannot be broken up or rearranged.

The OPIC tagline – The U.S. Government’s Development Finance Institution – must follow the organization’s name either within the body copy, subhead, or footer. Below are examples of acceptable combinations:

= Organization’s name placement

= Tagline placement

The U.S. Government’s Development Finance Institution welcomed The Water

Council to the OPIC Partners Program. The Milwaukee-based Water Council aligns the world’s freshwater industry and research communities to promote access to water technology and innovation as a key pillar of economic develop-ment.

As a participant in the OPIC Partners Program, The Water Council can connect its network of globally-minded, U.S.-based innovators with OPIC’s unique development finance tools and four decades of development finance experience leveraging U.S. business growth in global emerging markets.

To inaugurate the partnership, the two organizations will co-host a seminar on

April 28 at the Global Water Center in Milwaukee for small businesses seeking to enter international markets. The seminar provides education on OPIC products and services to enable U.S. business growth in developing countries. Registra-tion for the event is free.

“We are excited to be joining OPIC’s Partners Program in an effort to present further opportunities for our members to foster economic development in overseas emerging markets,” said Dean Amhaus, president and CEO of The

Water Council. “Wisconsin is truly one of the world’s most significant hubs for water research and industry. As water technology exports increase, OPIC will be a great resource for our companies.”

“Partnering with forward-thinking groups like The Water Council allows OPIC to better carry out our mission of catalyzing the private sector for life-improving global development impact,” said Elizabeth Littlefield, OPIC’s President and CEO.

“The Water Council’s promotion of the intrepid work in the U.S. clean water ac-cess sector aligns with OPIC’s goal to show what American business innovation

RYPhotography Our imagery is taken primarily from OPIC projects and events. Stock photography is used to add emphasis and visual interest.

Photos should meet photojournalistic guidelines. Photos of people should capture individuals in their natural element.

Events should not be staged and subjects should not be directed. Project photography can include projects under construction, completed projects, and the people involved. Photos should not be fabricated – either by re-arranging things in front of the camera or by changing a photo in post processing.

Collages should include a mixture of close-ups and scenic landscapes

CORRECT USES

Our style of graphics is modern, featuring flat colors with clean lines. When applying color, use the primary color palette first (1). Accent colors should only be used to differentiate and highlight critical information (2). Accent colors can also offer balance or variety when graphics require more than the four colors in the primary palette (3).
