Financial Data & Analysis Services Demonstration Exercises Each vendor responding to OPIC-843-16-005 is required to do a live demonstration highlighting the capabilities of their service. The demonstration will focus on specific question of interest to OPIC.
Guidelines:
· Time: 1.5 hours (90 minutes) for each vendor which includes introductions, presentation and wrap-up. We expect a focused presentation that does not exceed 90 minutes.
· Onsite at OPIC (1100 New York Ave, Washington D.C.). A remote demonstrations via WebEx or similar services is possible, but not encouraged.
· Demonstrations must focus on the specific exercises outlined below. We are not looking for a general introduction to the service. Our goal is to evaluate your service based on our specific needs.
· Demonstration topics will be presented in the order listed below unless instructed otherwise at the presentation.
Demonstration Topics:
Topic 1: Certificates of Participation (COPS) Demonstrate the coverage of Certificates of Participation on your service. In your discussion/presentation the following items must be covered.
1. How do we access both current and historic COPS issued by the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)?
2. Show the number of current OPIC COPS and the number of historic OPIC COPS available on your service.
3. Demonstrate how we will be able to track changes to the OPIC COPS on an ongoing basis.
Topic 2: Government/Corporate Bonds – Interest Rates Demonstrate the functionality of your service in providing data on yield curves and interest rate using the examples below.
1. Show us the most direct way of determining a U.S. Treasury future curve for 10 years out.
2. Show us the most direct way to obtain a 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 standard deviation 10 year forward curve for USD LIBOR.
a. Does a similar function exist for UST, Euribor and for major Emerging Markets rates?
3. Show us the most direct way to see real-time quotes and historic quotes for interest rates.
a. How far back do the historic quotes go?
4. Show us the most direct way to see a real-time interest rate quotes for major Emerging Markets rates.
a. How many Emerging Markets are covered?
b. Are historic quotes available? If so, how far back in time do the historic quotes go?
Topic 3: Foreign Exchange Demonstrate the functionality of your service in providing data on foreign exchange rates using the examples below.
1. Show us the most direct way to obtain real-time quotes for hard currency cross-currency spot exchange rates and for major Emerging Markets currencies.
a. Hard currency – use the USD as your example
b. Major Emerging Market currency – use South Africa as your example
2. Show us the depth of the historic quotes for the EUR and for two major Emerging Market currencies.
3. Show us the most direct way to obtain 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 standard deviation 10 year forward curves for the EUR-USD exchange rate.
a. Does this functionality exist for major Emerging Market currencies?
4. Show us the most direct way to generate prices for a 5 year “vanilla” American, European or Bermuda FX options for the EUR-USD and one major Emerging Market currency.
Topic 4: Credit Ratings for Sovereigns and Corporates Demonstrate the accessibility of credit ratings from international and regional credit rating agencies for both Sovereigns and Corporate entities.
1. Show us the most direct way on your system to access a list of credit ratings for sovereigns in South America.
2. Show us the most direct way to review the credit ratings for Ukraine.
Topic 5: Equities Demonstrate the functionality of your service in providing data.
1. Show us the most direct way for us to see U.S. ownership of General Electric. Your demonstration must include:
a. Percent (%) of total U.S. ownership
b. List of U.S. owners with percent (%) of ownership by each
c. Demonstration of how to export this ownership list.
2. Show us the most direct way to create a list of General Electric’s peer group and compare financials within this peer group.
3. Show us the most direct way for us to create a list of equities based on a specific set of fundamental user criteria such as location, size, sector, ownership (U.S. vs foreign owned).
