About this file

Addendum No. 1 for the Albert S. Nader Regional Airport AWOS Replacement Project is a contract document issued by the City of Oneonta, New York, with funding from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The addendum provides details for a project to replace and relocate the Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) at the airport, with bids to be received until 2:00 pm on May 2, 2024, at the Oneonta Purchasing Office. The project scope includes clearing 12.9 acres, installing a new AWOS Level III-P/T system with a tower, foundation, and obstruction light, creating an access road with a gravel surface and swing gate, and establishing a stormwater basin. The total project completion is required within 100 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.

The contract includes several key requirements and provisions, such as bonding and insurance (including a 5% bid bond), prevailing wage rates, and specific diversity goals. Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE) must account for 9%, Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) for 13%, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) for 6% of the project. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements mandate 1.2% minority and 6.9% women workforce participation. The project is structured as a single prime contract with the City of Oneonta, and questions about the project can be directed to Turner Bradford from McFarland Johnson or Kerriann Harrington from the city, with a question submission deadline of April 21, 2024.
