General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

Mark Twain National Forest is requesting lawn care services on The Salem Ranger District located in Dent County. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, permits, insurance, supervision, and other items and non-personnel services necessary to perform mowing services as defined in the statement of work.

The contractor shall make sure that work is accomplished in accordance with the contract and all applicable laws, municipal codes, regulations, and/or written directives issued by the Contracting Officer.

2.0 Background

In the past, lawncare was purchased by a Government Purchase Card, and when the lawn care reached the $2500.00 maximum, the district employees would take over caring for the lawn. The purpose of the base-plus-four is so that the yard can be taken care of more often without pulling district employees away from their normal job duties.

Contractor Requirements

3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks

The contractor will be responsible for keeping the lawn cut, trimming, and removing fallen tree limbs from the yard area, at least once a week, weather permitting, (i.e., in a drought mowing lessens/ in raining season mowing is expected more often, if needed). Fallen tree limbs should be put in the wooded area to the south of the property. Trimming includes weed-eating around trees, bushes, sidewalks, porches & stairs, buildings, radio towers, flagpole, and National Weather Service Station.
