Questions and Answers
1) OFC‐03B Section 31 41 16.00 12 page 7 and 8, part 2.1 Steel Sheet Piling list PZC‐19 with its properties. The section modulus is listed as 75.2 in3/ft of wall. The actual section mod. of PZC‐19 is
36.1 Is this is a mistake? Which is correct.
See Specification Change No. 2
2) Same spec section part 2.1.2 talks about acceptable alternate sheeting that would be acceptable.
Again it references the section mod. of 75 in3/ft. It also states that a min. thickness of 0.335" is required. The thickness for PZC‐19 is nominal thickness of 0.420" Much thicker than the alternate language. Please clarify
See Specification Change No. 3 and 4
3) Is painting of the PZC‐19 material really required?
Coating of sheet piling will be required as specified.
4) The RFP requires the project to be complete 150 days after NTP. The procurement & delivery period for the 290,000SF + of steel sheetpile is 90 days. There is not enough time to complete the work and the project will go into LD’s unless the time is extended.
We herby request that you issue an amendment to extend the contract completion time to 365 days after NTP??
The period of performance remains unchanged.
