1032794242121005.mil Text Box -All window well shall have a drain and concrete installed in the bottom of them.
-Window wells shaded in "Orange" shall have Plex-Glass cover placed over them.
-Window wells shaded in "Blue" shall have a 1-inch square mesh placed over them. The mesh shall be fastened to the steel grate in a way to protect the edges from being displaced.

Downspouts to be tied into the drain-piping.
“Blue” Dotted lines notes the approximate path of downspout underdrain.
-Install 6-Inch non-perforated SDR 35 gasketed drainpipe and tie into existing drainpipes -Install cleanout at the bottom of the downspouts prior to the underdrain and in the grassy area prior to the asphalt.
Underdrain piping to be replaced as noted on page 4.

634.3 Discharge
Replace existing 12-inch drainpipe:
- Install approximately 115-linear-feet of 18-inch NON-perforated HDPE pipe
- Install a concrete wing wall structure at the discharge point
Replace existing 105-linear-feet of 6-inch drainpipe:
– Install 8-inch non-perforated SDR 35 gasketed drainpipe -Install a cleanout in the grassy area between the stairs and the asphalt.
-The stairwell shall NOT be removed or replaced. Existing drainpipe shall be tied into in the grassy area to the outside of the stairwell.
Install a new drain:
-60-linear-feet of 8-inch non-perforated SDR 35 gasketed drainpipe starts here
Install a new drain:
-40-linear-feet of 6-inch perforated SDR 35 drainpipe in this area.
-Place a cleanout at the leading end of the pipe.
-See additional work to be completed in this area on page 5.
Drain in this stairwell is clogged.
**NOTE** The Contractor may find existing drainpipes and utilities in these areas. Additional technical information and As-Build Drawing shall be furnished to the awarded Contractor.
* If the foundation drainpipe is exposed during excavation, it shall be tied into the drainpipe.

1032794242121005.mil Text Box **NOTES** 1 "Yellow" Area shaded in "Yellow" shall have approximately 6-inches of the sod and soils buildup removed.
-The area shall be shaped to allow all water to drain from the area.
-The water shall drain over the curbing onto the asphalt.

-Drain to be placed in the center of the grassy area.
-A 6-inch SDR 30 perforated drain shall be installed.
-The pipe shall rest on a bed of washed stone and then be encased in washed stone.
-The washed stone shall full the drainage trench and be flush with the surrounding ground surface.
-The depth shall be dictated by the terrain, but the intent is to remove the water as quickly as possible to prevent it from infiltrating or ponding along this section of the basement wall.

-The swale shall be shaped to ensure water flows to the north and not towards the building.
-Swale width and depth shall be determined by the terrain. At a minimum the swale shall be 6-foot wide x 6-inches deep.
-Removed material shall be removed from the property.
