Questions and Answers
1. Please provide the “Typical tower foundation drawing (Attachment 1)” and “Photos of NWS DCO Hilo tower installation (Attachment 2)” referenced in the Government Furnished Information Section of the SOW for the Project NW- WW4000-11-00061 Solicitation. Attachments provided in new pdf SOW, now attached to the solicitation.
2. Please confirm that the four towers are identical except for variations of equipment and antennas mounted on each tower. Confirmed.
3. Please confirm that only an inspection of the spare unassembled 30-ft stainless steel tower located at NWS Pacific Region Headquarters is required and no further analysis is expected. The towers located at DCO Hilo cannot be disassembled for inspection. The spare tower at the Pacific Region Headquarters is provided as an optional resource to complete the requirements of the task. There is no tower installation certification required at the Pacific Region Headquarters.
4. Is a PE License in the state of Hawaii required? A PE licensed in the State of Hawaii is not required. However, it is highly recommended that the final report is certified by a PE licensed in the State of Hawaii because of their familiarization with the local state and county codes and ordinances (SOW, Reference 6).
