NWWP42002100045 Questions & Answers

1. A copy of the warranty from the unit manufacturer is requested with the submission, which we cannot provide until the project is complete. Would a Letter of Warranty directly from us be sufficient?

a. Yes

2. The existing units have 3 stage electric heaters, but there is no mention of suppling reheaters with the new units, is this an option that shall be furnished with the proposed new replacement units?

a. Match the existing units.

3. Crankcase heaters were supplied with the existing two CRAC units, are these also to be furnished with the new units?

a. Match the existing units.

4. The SOW does not identify any work to be performed for the Building Fire Alarm Panel, the existing units were furnished with a disconnect switch and a fire stat. Is there a connection to the building fire alarm panel that needs to be lifted on the old units and replaced on the new units. Are the new units to also be furnished with a fire stat.

a. No connection to building fire alarm system is required. Match the existing units.

5. The SOW has the lead lag function of the CRAC units to be controlled by a new iCOM controller that is to be furnished in this project. This should replace the current hardwired panel and selector switch, is this to be the case. Is the iCOM to be the standalone control system for the proposed new CRAC units.

a. Yes

6. The building has a new BAS system, what points on the proposed CRAC units are to be connected to the new BAS.

a. Not to be connected to new system.

7. Is the existing turning vane on the bottom of the existing units to be reused to direct the air flow on the proposed new units.

a. Yes if the new units will fit the turning vane
