About this file

This document is an Addendum #2 issued by AECOM on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Aviation Division for a project at the Mustang Beach Airport. The addendum addresses additional questions received prior to the bid deadline of December 5, 2023. Key details include clarification on the prime oil application rate, triaxial geogrid specifications, construction phasing requirements, availability of a water source, updates to the bid form quantities, responsibility for the SWPPP plan, and details on excess earthwork material. The project involves jurisdictions of Nueces County and the City of Port Arthur.

Regarding pricing, the addendum indicates that the contractor may submit an alternate schedule at the pre-construction meeting and that the PAPI units specified are single channel with stainless steel enclosures, with LED units potentially considered depending on cost and budget. The addendum also provides details on aircraft load design requirements and confirms that baffles are not required for the PAPI units.
