About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Northern Region for male ring-necked live pheasants. The RFQ (NR15-008) seeks 786 male pheasants to be delivered across multiple wildlife areas in California, with pick-up dates ranging from October 14 to November 18, 2016. Responses are due by April 15, 2016 at 2:00PM. The successful bidder must possess a valid Domesticated Game Breeder's License issued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and be located within a 100-mile radius of Tehama Wildlife Area in Paynes Creek, CA. The pheasants must be at least sixteen weeks old at pick-up time, have normal feathering with tails at least 16 inches in length, and be free of malformation.

The award will be made on an "All or None" basis, with delivery quantities specified for six different wildlife areas: Honey Lake (126 birds), Lake Earl (40 birds), Ash Creek (160 birds), Mouth of Cottonwood Creek (120 birds), Sacramento River Bend (240 birds), and Shasta Valley (100 birds). A 5% bid preference is available for non-small businesses claiming 25% California certified small business subcontractor participation. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease the total quantity by up to 30% at the awarded price for 90 days from the purchase order date. DVBE participation is not required but incentivized, with incentives ranging from 1% to 5% based on participation levels.
