About this file

This is a compliance notification letter issued by the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) regarding the state's No Public Funds for Abortion Act. The letter serves as the final step in the department's internal compliance process and is addressed to a vendor in connection with a procurement agreement for crash pads and wrestling mats. The letter informs the vendor that all State of Idaho agencies, including IDJC, are subject to the No Public Funds for Abortion Act, which establishes penalties against state employees who intentionally enter into agreements with abortion providers or their affiliates, or who authorize the use of state facilities or public funds for abortion-related activities. The department requests that the vendor acknowledge receipt of the letter and respond by the specified deadline (5 p.m. Mountain time on the date indicated) to jason.urquhart@idjc.idaho.gov if the vendor has any additional information the department should consider under the Act.

The letter clarifies that no penalties under the Act apply to the vendor and that, at the time of writing, the department has no information that would prevent finalization of the agreement. The vendor is required to sign and return the letter as acknowledgment of receipt, providing printed name, title, and date. Contact information is provided for questions or clarification, with Purchasing Agent Jason R. Urquhart available at 208-577-5426. This compliance letter is a standard procedural requirement for state procurement in Idaho and does not impose financial, set-aside, or contractual modifications on the underlying procurement agreement.

Dear Vendor Name, I am writing to you as the last step in our internal compliance process for Idaho’s No Public Funds for Abortion Act. All agencies of the State of Idaho, including The Department of Juvenile Corrections, are subject to this Act. The Act establishes a penalty against state employees who intentionally enter into an agreement with abortion providers or affiliates of abortion providers, or who authorize the use of state facilities or public funds for abortion related activity. Under the Act, there are no penalties that apply to you. At this time, the Department has no information that would trigger the Act and prevent us from finalizing our agreement with you. If you have additional information the Department should consider under the Act, please respond to me with that information as soon as possible.

Vendor acknowledges receipt of this one (1) page letter dated date.
