Subject: Notice of Intent

Acquisition and Assistance Technical Support

Ladies/Gentlemen:

USAID/Tanzania’s Office of Acquisition and Assistance intends to modify contract number Contract No

AID-621-C-17-00002 with Jefferson Consulting Group, LLC, 1401 K Street NW STE 900, Washington

D.C. 20005-3455.

The above referenced contract was awarded on June 30, 2017 to Jefferson Consulting Group, LLC. Under the award, the contractor is to provide Acquisition and Assistance technical support to USAID/Tanzania throughout the acquisition and assistance award life cycle, from planning to closeout. This planned modification will extend the end date of this contract, from June 04, 2019 to June 30, 2020, with no increase in the total estimated cost. The extension will allow USAID/Tanzania to continue to use the contractor’s services during a time when the Mission is experiencing an increased workload.

USAID/Tanzania intends to issue this extension under the authority of AIDAR 706.302-70(b)(5) for “the continued provision of highly specialized services when award to another resource would result in substantial additional costs to the Government or would result in unacceptable delays.” There will be no solicitation document issued for the proposed action. Therefore, this notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal. Interested parties may, however, identify their interest and capability to respond to the Government’s requirement by submitting an expression of interest. The Government will consider all expressions of interest received within 15 calendar days of the publication of this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed modification based upon responses, if any, to this notice solely lies within the discretion of the Government.

Best regards, David Arnett

Contracting Officer
