About this file

This is a Notice of Sole Source Intent issued by the Bureau of Reclamation's Missouri Basin Regional Office. The agency intends to award a purchase order to Schutte & Koerting Acquisition Company for two water jet sump eductors required for the Seminoe and Kortes power plants at the Mills, Wyoming Area Office. The eductors cannot be subject to dimensional variations due to the confined space of existing equipment requiring replacement. The equipment specifications include cast iron body and tail with bronze replaceable internals, 150# ANSI flanged connections, no moving parts, and operation based on the venturi principle. Technical requirements specify a 2-1/2 inch motive inlet and 4 inch suction and discharge ports (all 150# flanged), a 16.00 capacity ratio, and capability to pass solids up to 1 inch in diameter. Performance data indicates approximately 162 gallons per minute motive water consumption at 85 pounds per square inch gauge, with solids handling capacity of 340 cubic feet per hour at 5 psig discharge pressure or 270 cubic feet per hour at 10 psig discharge pressure. Overall length is 23-5/8 inches with specific dimensional requirements for port centerline distances. The agency has determined that only one responsible source can meet these requirements under FAR Overhaul 6.103-1.

The Request for Quote No. 140R6026Q0072 is anticipated to be issued on or around August 24, 2026, with quotes due approximately 14 business days after issuitation and award anticipated on or around September 7, 2026. The resulting purchase order will provide 90 days for delivery from date of award. Vendors believing they can fully provide the required services must submit written Letters of Interest to Contract Specialist Sydney Oakes at sydney_oakes@ios.doi.gov no later than August 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM MDT. Responses must include the vendor's SAM Unique Entity Identification (UEI) Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN), and vendors must identify themselves as either "small business" or "other than small business" under NAICS Code 333996 (Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing) with a small business size threshold of 900 employees. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of offer submission.
