NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 07 (NCO 07), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with no option years to TrillaMed LLC located at 30100 Telegraph Road, Ste. 366, Bingham Farms, MI 48025, United States. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) – Soliciting from a single source. A Justification for Single Source Awards for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The anticipated award date is May 20, 2025.

The Omnicell Carousel is a specialized automated medication management system integral to enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and safety in medication dispensing within the Columbia VA Healthcare System. Omnicell Inc.’s proprietary technology and the extensive integration with existing software platforms already in place, make it impractical to consider alternatives without risking significant disruption to patient care and operational efficacy. The Awardee needs to have the ability to supply all Omnicell Carousel equipment, materials, and labor services for installation/de-installation to the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

Market research has determined that TrillaMed LLC is the exclusive Federal Government distributor and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Omnicell Inc... Due to the proprietary nature of the Omnicell Carousel only Omnicell Inc., the manufacturer, and its Authorized Distributors are capable of providing the Omnicell Carousel Equipment. The procured Omnicell Carousel Equipment will be installed/delivered to the Columbia VA Medical Center-WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located at 6439 Garners Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC 29209.
