About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) announcing their intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to 10x Genomics Inc. for High-resolution spatial transcriptomics equipment. The procurement specifically includes the Visium CytAssist bundle and Visium HD platform.
The justification for sole-sourcing is that 10x Genomics Inc. is the only known provider of these proprietary products, which are required by USU's Biology department for daily research activities. Other vendors may submit responses demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements by December 24, 2024 at 4:00 PM via email to joshua.broadman@usuhs.edu. Any responses must prove that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not be cost or time prohibitive. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) procedures.

Intent to Sole-Source:
USU intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to 10x Genomics Inc. to procure High-resolution spatial transcriptomics equipment. This procurement is a continuation of existing 10x Genomics products used for existing research by the biology department as well as the new proprietary Visium HD, which is the only truly single-cell spatial transcriptomics platform.
Sole Source Justification
10x Genomics Inc is the only entity that offers the Visium CytAssist bundle and the Visium HD.
Obtaining this requirement through 10x Genomics allows the Biology department (BIO) to maintain access to resources utilized daily by USU professors, researchers and students.
Therefore, 10x Genomics Inc. is the only known source that can provide the requested Visium CytAssist bundle and the Visium HD required by USU. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
In accordance with 5.207(c)(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and that the interested potential Offeror can meet the needs of the Government as stated above. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Responses must be received via email at joshua.broadman@usuhs.edu by 4:00 PM on 24 December 2024.
