Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract
DLA Distribution intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order for LSC Machine Maintenance at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) on a sole-source basis to Revvity Health Sciences, Inc. (CAGE 1MCW2). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.106- 1(b) “soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.”
Revvity Health Sciences, Inc. is the only vendor in the area that can respond within 24-48 hours, which is crucial if this system fails. Revvity Health Sciences, Inc. is also the sole producer and maintainer of this equipment. Revvity maintains a local storage facility of replacement parts.
There is no open market competition between authorized dealers/distributors/servicers.
Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811210 with a small business size standard of $34 million and PSC of J039.
