About this file
This document is a Notice of Intent to conduct a sole source procurement for Commvault Consulting Services by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). NICHD intends to award a one-year purchase order to small business CTG Federal to provide onsite Commvault consulting and project management services. NICHD requires these services from the same engineer who has been supporting their Commvault configuration. Interested parties may submit information by August 16, 2024 to demonstrate their capabilities to fulfill the requirement, including pricing, delivery, and business size. NICHD will use the responses to determine whether to proceed with the sole source award or conduct a competitive procurement.

Solicitation Number: 75N94024Q00244 Solicitation Type: Sole Source (Non-Competitive) Title: NIAAA: Service: Commvault Consulting Services NAICS / Size Standard: 541519 / 150 Employees
Introduction
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NON-COMPETITIVE (NOTICE OF INTENT) SYNOPSIS TO AWARD A PURCHASE ORDER WITHOUT PROVIDING FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Office of Acquisitions (OA), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive sole source basis to small business, CTG Federal to provide Commvault Consulting Services.
Background Information
CommVault consulting and project management hours are needed to train and assist the systems administrator with setting up new equipment and/or reconfiguring existing server equipment for the Information Technology Branch. As a small business, CTG can provide the services from Commvault.
Commvault services will ensure that NIAAA continues to use the same engineer who has been helping them with the setup and configuration services of their simpana Commvault appliances. Using another service will result in change in engineer and will set back the dates set for vendor deliverables. This is in support of the Software Premium Support Coverage: (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) for NIAAA's backup software which is mission critical. This is in support of an existing order of HHSN316201500032W/75N94024F00001 which is delivering the equipment
Purpose and Objectives
The branch needs training in setting up the new equipment and reconfiguring the existing server equipment.
Period of Performance
The period of performance is one year from award.
Contractor Requirements
The contractor needs to provide the following:
• Commvault Consulting Services OnSite
• Project Management Services
Sole Source Justification
CTG Federal is the only small business service provider that can provide this Commvault consulting. They must use the same engineer who has been helping them set up configuration of their simpana Commvautl appliances. This is in support of the Software Premium Support Coverage 24 hours/7 days a week for NIAAA’s backup software which is mission critical. The equipment received requires additional configuration and consulting hour that must be provided by the service provider.
