The 700th Contracting Squadron (700 CONS/PKB), Kapaun Air Station, Bldg. 2767, D-67661 Kaiserslautern hereby formally announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price open market to the company:

SCIENCE APPLICATIONS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION

12010 Sunset Hills Rd

Reston, VA, 20190-5856

CAGE Code: 6XWA8

This requirement is for a purchase of Engility Joint Range Extender Software

Qty Part Number Description 1 52100 JRE 3G System, Semi-Rugged (7U) w/ Transit Case, Keyboard/Display, Cable Kit w/JSEP 1 15206-19 JRE Help Desk for one year (7/24 Help line support).

SAIC is the only contractor capable of providing essential and vital software and hardware production and support of the Joint Range Extension (JRE). SAIC is the original software designer and manufacturer of the system and has built over 1300 JREs supporting USAF, USMC, USA, USN and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) needs. The JRE utilizes SAIC proprietary software as well as technical/intellectual design and fabrication drawings for which SAIC reserves rights. Procuring the JRE software, hardware and support from SAIC allows the U.S.

Government to be fully interoperable with all CONUS and OCONUS fielded JREs while achieving critical timetables/schedules for delivering the JRE software/systems without concern that a failure would significantly jeopardize the warfighter’s mission.

SAIC is the only firm that currently possesses the complete resident knowledge and experience of the JRE electronic hardware and software necessary to analyze, troubleshoot, and provide engineering support for the SAIC manufactured JRE Gateway.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals; however, all interested companies that identify to the Contracting Officer their intent and capabilities to satisfy the Government’s requirement with commercial items and are received within 6 calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
