About this file
This document is a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference Agenda issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife for the Mount Evans State Wildlife Area Shop Restroom Facility project (Project #C18NE6 DQ - 2019*56). The project involves furnishing and installing a 10' x 8' insulated and heated wood-framed restroom facility with a shower, toilet, and sink at the Mount Evans location. The pre-bid conference was held on August 1, 2018, at 1:00 PM. Written questions were to be submitted to Design Engineer Aaron Boonstra and would be accepted through August 6, 2018, at 5:00 PM MST, with responses provided in a final addendum posted to the Colorado Vendor Self Serve website. Sealed bids and email bids were due on August 15, 2018, by 1:00 PM MST at Colorado Parks and Wildlife Headquarters, 6060 Broadway, Denver, Colorado 80216. A Notice of Award was intended to be issued by end of business on the bid due date to the lowest responsible bidder, contingent upon the bid falling within the project budget. The contract time allows 90 calendar days for construction completion from the Notice to Proceed, expected in September 2018, with construction permitted Monday through Friday between sunrise and sunset unless otherwise approved in writing.
Bonding is required if a bid exceeds $150,000.00, and the contractor must provide all temporary electric, water, and sanitary facilities necessary for construction. Contract processing is expected to take two to three weeks following receipt of all required documents, including insurance certificates and W-9 forms. Colorado Parks and Wildlife will not require special permits other than electrical permits, which the awarded contractor must obtain from the Colorado Electrical Board if the electrical bid item is awarded. The attendance list from the pre-bid conference will be posted on the State Vendor Self Serve website. All addendums must be acknowledged on the bid proposal, and failure to acknowledge will result in bid rejection. Weather days may be granted at the Project Manager's discretion, and the project may be shut down due to unfavorable conditions.
