Interested vendors must submit documentation demonstrating their qualifications and ability to provide the same compounded, high-concentrated drugs by the response deadline of 6:00 PM EST on 12/13/2024.
The NOI indicates that the Department believes this opportunity represents the best value to the Commonwealth and is utilizing this Due Diligence Posting to ensure an open, fair, and competitive process. Due Diligence Posting of Notice of Intent to Purchase a Proprietary Product or Service
The Massachusetts Environmental Police of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts announces its intent to Purchase a Proprietary Product or Service pursuant to the Commonwealth’s Due Diligence Posting policy, to contract for the following with Reliant Compounded Solutions (“Offeror”), pending the results of this Notice of Intent (“Notice”):
Description Reliant Compounded Solutions makes and provides two high concentrated compound drugs for use when dealing with sedating and/or transporting wildlife. These drugs are purchased once a year for the department to use throughout the year. The Massachusetts Environmental Police purchase compounded xylazine and tolazoline for the immobilization and reversal of moose and white-tailed deer. These are specialty products produced on order that are purchased once annually and that are not available from regular pharmaceutical vendors. Generally, this purchase is made in December or January each year.
The two drugs are listed below:
Xylazine 400mg/cc 25ml vials Immobilization drug for deer and moose Tolazoline 200mg/cc 25ml vials Reversal drug for deer and moose.
These are compounded drugs at high concentration to be used for immobilization and reversal of moose and white-tailed deer. These are made specifically for MEP and are not available from a regular veterinary supply company in these concentrations.
The Department is posting this Notice rather than conducting a full procurement because the Department believes this opportunity represents best value to the Commonwealth and is utilizing this Due Diligence Posting to ensure that the process is open, fair and competitive. The intended duration of the contract is 4 years, with 3 one-year options to renew.
