About this file

This document is a Notice of Intent (NOI) from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District, for procuring a Lexmark MFD CX622ade multifunction device printer for the Fort Lee, VA office. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source or brand name/equal basis under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), with a planned procurement via a separate System for Award Management (SAM) notice estimated for July 2025. The printer requires specific capabilities including color and black & white printing, scanning, network compatibility, CAC-enablement for 10 users, and support for Letter and Legal paper sizes.

The NOI indicates the Lexmark printer was selected for its unique capabilities, smaller footprint, quieter LED technology, and compatibility with existing systems. The procurement will include a 3-year warranty for parts and labor, and the Contracting Officer plans to prepare a Justification and Approval (J&A) document. The HP MFD DesignJet XL3600 is also identified as a potential brand name or equal option. Potential vendors can submit a technical capabilities statement via email to Susan Ellis and Tiffany Kirtsey, with the understanding that this is a market research tool and not a formal request for competitive proposals.
