Massachusetts Department of Public Health Notification of Announcement M27002 Description: The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences (BIDLS) intends to collaborate with the Massachusetts General Brigham (MGB) to implement and evaluate partner notification for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) via mobile messaging (i.e. ePN) services.
Through this partnership, MGB will contribute funding to support implementation of the ePN service, and components of evaluation of ePN impact relative to notifying and engaging exposed partners in medical care. Funding will be received through the Public Health Trust.
The partnership will facilitate identification of the factors and strategies associated with ePN adoption and integration into health services. This partnership will also support and facilitate DPHs capacity to implement and use ePN in Massachusetts for STIs and other infections of public health importance.
Partnership Opportunity: The purpose of this notice is to publicize DPH’s intent to enter into partnership with the MGH. This partnership is expected to contribute to DPHs capacity to sustain and optimize public health response to STIs and benefit residents of the Commonwealth exposed to STIs. Vendors or other institutions which can demonstrate capacity and capability to support implementation and evaluation of ePN services similar to those listed above can also be considered as this is not an exclusive partnership. Interested vendors or institutions should notify Liisa Randall, PhD at liisa.randall@mass.gov by September 11, at 3:00 PM if they would also like to be considered for similar collaboration.
