Solicitation Questions and Responses Marmoset Caging Racks and Stainless-Steel Pans

1. The solicitation states that the requirement is for 32 cage racks while other documentation states that it is for 92 racks. Can you clarify the quantity needed for quote?

The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase a total of ninety-three (93) marmoset Racks which consist of the following base year and two (2) option year requirements:

o The base year would consist of thirty-two (32) Racks and fifty (50) pans.

o 1st Option Year will be for thirty-one (31) additional racks, o 2nd Option Year will be for the remaining thirty (30) racks.

The sum of the base and both option years total 93 (32+31+30) Marmoset Racks.

2. Please clarify the quantity of excreta pans required. Pg 1 of Purchase Description says “50 EA”.

Pg 3 says “40 EA”

This was an oversight in the Purchase Description. Page 3 should have stated: “The Contractor shall provide ninety-three (93) - 6 Square Foot 1-Over-1 New World Primate racks (2 cages per rack) and (2 excreta pans per rack) in addition to one (1) shipment of fifty (50) additional excreta pans to be used for change-out.”

For example, the base year shall consist of thirty-two (32) racks equipped with two (2) excreta pans for each rack, in addition to fifty (50) additional excreta pans to be used for change-out. Therefore, a total of one-hundred and fourteen (114) excreta pains (64 + 50) will be required in the base year. Option years will only require 62 and 60 pans respectively. Note: Each 6 Square Foot 1-Over-1 New World Primate racks shall consist of 2 cages per rack and 2 excreta pans per rack.

3. Please clarify how pricing needs to be handled for the two option years A firm-fixed price for each option period. Please refer to the Product Description for the quantity.

4. Is it expected that escalators for those two option years will be included now and with submission of initial price quote?

Please propose a firm-fixed price for each period of performance identified in the Product Description.
