STATEMENT OF WORK

CARPET REPLACEMENT AT NATCHER BUILDING

Background The Events Management Branch (EMB), Program and Employee Services (PES), Office of Research Services, Office of the Director, National Institutes of Health (NIH). ORS provides a comprehensive portfolio of services that support the biomedical research mission of the NIH. ORS provides diverse services including: laboratory safety, police and fire departments, veterinary resources, the NIH Library, events management, travel and transportation, services for foreign scientists, and programs to enrich and enhance the NIH worksite. ORS also provides administrative and programmatic support to the Office of Research Facilities (ORF) under a “shared service” model. The Program and Employee Services (PES) component of ORS oversees a wide array of programs and services provided to NIH employees, contractors, patients, and visitors that both assist them in their day-to-day work and also help them with their work-life balance.

Scope of Work The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Events Management Branch (EMB) Program Employee Services, Office of Research Services (ORS),) wishes to replace the carpet for Bldg. 45 Lower Level Lobby/Common Areas: Take up and Dispose of Carpet, Seal Subfloor, and Install New Carpet Tile Staircase & Rear Corridor: Take up and Dispose of Carpet, Seal Subfloor, and Install New Carpet Tile. The contractor shall provide: Tandus Aftermath W/Peel & Stick Flex-Aire Cushion Color Tapestry 23512. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installation of carpet as well as providing management/coordination services during installation. The contractor shall provide all manpower, materials, tools, supplies, and all equipment incidental to and necessary to perform installation of Carpet. The selected contractor will need to coordinate installation of the carpet with the project team, as well as provide efficient management services to ensure timely completion. The contractor shall have proper work Permits to gain access to the NIH campus.

Period of Performance: This project will begin in September 30, 2017

Price: Firm Fixed Price Contract

Pricing materials, installation and freight.

Pricing EXCLUDES any floor or wall preparation. Any floor preparation will be billed according to man hour plus materials.

Requirements: Successful completion of the following task is required:

1. Coordinate Layout: The vendor will be responsible for coordinating with project team members to plan installation of the carpet in the assigned space in the prescribed timeline. Vendor will coordinate carpet installation with multiple members of the project team, to include IT, Electrical, Mechanical, and Architect.

2. Attending and/or Planning Project Meetings: This task covers the vendor participating in project organization and communicating these roles and responsibilities to applicable staff.

3. Materials/Deliveries: The Vendor shall be responsible for the coordination of all materials delivered and work performed until completion and acceptance of the entire work.

4. Completion: Conduct final post installation meeting with Client Agency Project Officer.
