Government's Responses to Industry Questions

No. Questions Responses

Please clarify the format for the Industry Day presentations and demos:

a) Is specific time going to be set aside for each vendor to provide their presentation and demo?

b) Will the demo take place immediately after the presentation and in the same location?

c) How much time will each vendor have for their presentation and for their demo?

d) Will the presentations be just to government staff or to all vendors participating in the Industry Day?

e) Will the demos be just to government staff or to all vendors participating in the Industry Day?

a) Yes, specific time will be set aside for each vendor to provide their presentation and demo.

The first part of the industry day will involve the presentations only. Demos that are incorporated into presentations will have to occur during the second part (closed portion) of the industry day.

b) Yes, the demo will take place immediately after the presentation but it will be in a different location.

c) Each vendor should ensure their presentation is no more than 20 minutes long, demos should be no more than 30 minutes long, and combined presentations with demos should be no more than 30 minutes long.

d) The initial set-up of the Industry Day will be structured to allow vendors to interface with both Government and other vendors. At the initial phase, Vendors can provide presentations of their capabilities and can provide a presentation without a demo (the Government’s preference is to see demos). However, only those vendors presenting demos will be allowed access to attend a closed portion of the event where demos are presented.

e) Vendors must provide a demo in order to attend the closed portion of the event where demos are presented.

a) What is the expected number of government staff attending the presentations and the demos?

b) What are the corresponding offices and roles/titles of those government staff expected to attend?

a) The Government anticipates around 4 to 10 Government staff will attend the presentations and the demos.

b) The corresponding offices and roles/titles of the Government staff expected to attend are:

- Kathy Crabtree, COR, Environmental Health Perspectives, NIEHS;

- Shaun Halloran, Operations Manager, Environmental Health Perspectives, NIEHS;

- Uche Washington, Contracting Officer, Office of Acquisition, NIEHS; and

- Bernie Salter, Chief-Station Support Branch, Office of Acquisition, NIEHS

Will vendors that did not respond to the RFI be able to participate in Industry

Day?

Yes. Vendors that did not respond to the RFI will be able to participate in the Industry Day.

Will the Government allow vendors who choose not to provide a presentation and/or demo to also attend Industry Day?

No. Vendors who are providing a presentation of their capabilities can attend the initial portion which is open to all. However, vendors not providing a demo will not be allowed to attend the closed portion of the event where demos are presented.

Is attending Industry Day and providing a presentation and/or a demo, a prerequisite to responding to the RFP?

No. Attending the Industry Day and providing a presentation and/or a demo, is not a prerequisite to responding to the RFQ.
